Bringing new settlers to the banks of Afrin River leads to more overgrazing and stealing crops problems

Afrinpost – Special

Information continues about the Islamic militias affiliated with the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood settling people brought from the countryside of the areas that were under their occupation, in the countryside of Damascus, Aleppo, Hama, Homs, and Idlib, instead of the Kurdish indigenous population in the occupied Kurdish region of Afrin.

In the context, a special source informed “Afrinpost”, that a large number of Idlib settlers, along with their flocks, had settled on the banks of the Afrin River, and they were still there from the village of Ain Dara to the end of the border, the village of “Mulla Khalil” near Atma.

The source added that these people are unjustly tending their flocks between the people’s groves at night, and when filing a complaint with the occupation militias, the militants say to the Kurdish indigenous people, that they should photograph the subjects and bring a proof.

However, the residents cannot guard the lands at night, as they are unable to cover the protection of their homes and lands at the same time. As a result, the settlers steal crops and fruits as well, so that the only option left for the residents is to place a guard of settlers themselves to guard their lands.

The crime practiced by the settlers comes to complement the crime committed by their armed sons, who are members of the Islamic militias affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood.
