The “Hamzah Brigade” militia cut down two hundred pomegranate trees in the village of Tirinde

Afrinpost – Special

Militants of the “national army” of the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood’s organization continue to cut trees from forests and fields throughout the occupied Kurdish Afrin region, and trade in logs in light of the increasing demand for them in areas under Turkish occupation in northwestern Syria.

In this context, Afrinpost correspondent in the region’s center reported that armed militants from the “Hamzah Brigade” militia had completely cut down two hundred pomegranate trees in the village of Tirinde, which is affiliated with the regional center, with the aim of selling them as firewood.

The correspondent indicated that the pomegranate field belongs to the displaced Kurdish citizen, “Zameji Abdo”.

Afrinpost correspondent in the Afrin province center confirmed in mid-October that Islamic militia gunmen had formed workshops from the militants, to cut trees from the forests of Afrin and gather firewood in fixed centers on the outskirts of the villages.
