Kurdish Man Returning from Aleppo Arrested in Afrin

afrinpost-Exclusive

After being forcibly displaced for over six years following the occupation of Afrin in March 2018, Imad Rashid Habash, 50, returned from Aleppo to his hometown of Badina in the Rajo sub-district about a month ago. However, Turkish intelligence and the “Police in Rajo” militia arrested him when he visited Rajo center to obtain an ID card a week ago.

Our correspondent confirms that Habash was arrested on charges of affiliation with the previous Autonomous Administration, despite only working briefly as a driver for them. He was taken to a detention center in Afrin city to face punishment by the Turkish courts.
