Osama Al-Kadri: Thug, Jailer and Turkish Intelligence Tool

afrinpost

Once again, the pro-Turkey “al-Hamza Division” militia has approved the return of the leader called “Mohamed Al-Kadri” and his group to run the notorious Al-Ziraa prison in the occupied city of Al-Bab, which is classified as one of the most dangerous prisons for the lives of detainees. A return which means an increase in the frequency of violations against detainees, torture, rape, and liquidations, in which Al-Kadri is specialized in.

Who is Al-Kadri?
Muhammad Osama Al-Kadri, nicknamed “Abu Abdo”, is of Turkmen
origin, and he hails from the town of Baza’a of al-Bab city, the same
town from which the so-called “Saif Abu Bakr Bolad” hails, the leader
of the Turkish-backed “Al-Hamzat” militia.

His name is not circulated publicly, due to his secret activities, besides the violations against prisoners, he is durg addict and trader and runs
“Zaytoon” agency, which is funded by “Al-Hamzat” militia, to promote reports and news that correspond with it and its leader, as well as to launch media campaigns, as one of the Turkish soft war tools, as the “Hamza Division” militia pays special attention to the media to drum and glorify the so-called “Saif”.
“Al-Kadri” resides on a farm located on the outskirts of the city of al-Bab on Qabasin Road.

The Al-Hamza Division militia is one of the mysterious militias, despite its wide spread in the areas of Afrin, Jarablus, Al-Bab, Tal Abyad and Ras Al-Ain, and its large number of militants, but its leader, “Saif Bolad” is the most visible, while a number of shadow leaders help him and follow a secret hierarchical structure. The most two close to the leader are his brothers, “Hamed and Qusay”. Hamid was killed on 4/12/2019, and Qusay was involved in the killing of a member of theShammar tribe council in the countryside of Aleppo, known as “Abu Basil” on 10/26/2021, what forcied him to disappear. To depend later on each of the leaders “Rami Batran, Alaa Junaid (who was dismissed), Abdullah Halawa (who defected and joined the Faylaq Al-Sham and Mohammed Osama Al-Kadri.”

Drug dealing:
A number of “Hamzat” leaders work in the drug trade, but under the supervision and command of “Al-Kadri”. His trade is not limited to the areas under Turkish occupation, but goes beyond Syria, having partners in the region such as “Nuh Zuaiter” in Lebanon, from which hashish shipments are supplied, in large quantities. “Al-Kadri” is at the forefront in drug dealing, if not the first, and one of the most important suppliers of drug pills such as Captagon, crystal meth, hashish, heroin, cocaine and other types of
drugs, in addition to spirits, and has special channels for distribution, and he gains huge profits from it.

With the participation of “Hamza” militia in foreign conflicts in Libya and Azerbaijan, this was an opportunity to traffic drugs in coordination with the so-called “Alaa Junaid”, who is responsible for transporting large quantities of drugs inside shipments of weapons and ammunition, so they are not subject to inspection.

Security Officer and Investigator:
“Muhammad Osama Al-Kadri” is the first security official in the “Al-Hamza” militia, and “Saif Abu Bakr” is security assistant, and he is the first investigator in all prisons affiliated with the militia, and he uses horrific methods to extract confessions, even in fabricated accusations that have
no basis, “Al-Kadri” forces the detainees to confess to any accusation he wants through various types of torture, including rape, sexual harassment and psychological torture. He does not refrain from doing anything, such as luring the detainees’ wives and raping them brutally in front of their husbands.

Lawless Thuggery:
The Turkish intelligence asked the so-called “Saif Abu Bakr” to stop “Al-Kadri”, because of the scandalous violations stories, especially the story of a female detainee who was impaled by a “Club” while “Al-Kadri” was under the influence of drugs. The accedent back then created a stir, and the Turkish intelligence only hid him, and claimed his dismissal, until he appeared on 3/18/2021, storming at the head of an armed force the school of “Hamza bin Abdul Muttalib” for Girls in the city of Al-Bab, while the female students and teachers were inside it. He stormed the administration room in search of (the school principal), shouting her name, threatening to arrest her and insulting the teachers. The reason behind was that the Principle of the school asked the daughter of “Al-Kadri” to bring her guardian, for failing to fulfill her school duties and disturbing the rest of
the students and uttering offensive words.

Al-Hamzat prisons:

The “Hamza Division” militia has three prisons: al-Ziraa prison in the al-Bab area, al-Mahmudiya prison in the former “Asayish” headquarters in the occupied city of Afrin, while the third prison is a seized house of a Kurdish citizen in the village of Shangeleh in Bulbul district, Afrin.

The most severe types of torture are practiced in it, and thus the militia created a frightening reputation, which made people avoid confronting its gunmen and afraid to provoke their anger, so as not to expose themselves
to imprisonment, where any accusation could be framed against Kurdish citizens, as a Kurdish man can be detained for the slightest reason, even for
the sake of a can of oil. The so-called “al-Kadri”, who raped and asaulted many female detainees, is responsible for the Kurdish detainees in the region.

At the end of May 2020, information from among the militants circulated the testimony of a former detainee, in which he said: In the prisons of one of the factions located in the agricultural basement, unheard of things happen. The jailer called “Al-Kadri”, and among the members of the prison staff are “Abu Abdo Al-Batoushi, Abu Al-Kaif and Al-Daba’” The prisoners are kidnapped without any charge, but just to collect the ransom from their families, and the units are 1.5 meters x 1 meter. A prisoner died of suffocation, and among the methods of torture are the Stake, and wholesale rape of male and female prisoners in front of their partners. There is no food for the prisoners except once every 10 days, and fuel oil may be placed in the food. A prisoner from Daraa from the village of alTaybeh named “Ammar al-Zoubi” (18 years) who was an amputee, and two and a half years had passed since his imprisonment on charges of belonging to ISIS. He was threatened that he would never see the light, after he resisted sex with both Al-Kadri and Al-Batoushi. The prisoner asserts
that a medical committee and a forensic doctor can verify the veracity of his speech.

Returning from death miracle:
A 20-year-old prisoner from Afrin, who spent more than 31 months of enforced detention, during which he was tortured of all kinds, lived on the edge of death, and returned from the prison cellars to tell his story as following:

Starting from Istanbul:
The story of the young man (I.H.) begins from Turkish lands, the Arnavutkoy district of Istanbul, to which he traveled in 2013, with the intention of working and securing a living for him and his family. When Ankara began the aggression on Afrin, he was harassed by Turkish youths. A group of Turkish young men stopped him , knowing he is from Afrin, and asked him for a cigarette and his mobile phone. They started a querrel with him while a Turkish police patrol arrived and took him to prison to be tourtured for two months, untile he was forcibly deported to Syrian territory through the Bab al-Hawa crossing, and he was forced to pledge to leave and not return, with a fingerprint on that at the time.

death journey:
Upon his arrival in Afrin, he was arrested in a garage in Afrin, and taken to prison, on charges of dealing with the Autonomous Administration to carry out attacks and bombings inside occupied Afrin.
During 27 days of his arrest, he was subjected to the most horrific forms of torture by the head of the prison called “Abu Al-Laith”, and a mercenary called “Abu Khaled” took over the interrogation of him, where he was deprived of drinking and eating for several days. He was then handed over to the “Al-Hamzat” prison, led by the so-called “Ahmed Zakour (Abu Abdo Al-Batoushi) in al-Mahmoudiyah neighborhood.

Over the course of two months of his detention, (I.H.) was subjected to a lot of physical and psychological torture, along with insults and cursing, by Turkish officers who investigated him to extract information about fabricated charges, such as communicating with the Autonomous
Administration and carrying out detonation operations and planting explosive devices.

Dr. “Riyad Mulla” from the village of Jwaiq, was imprisoned with him in the same unit, and the young man (I.H.) stated that during his arrest there 42 citizens of Afrin, including women and children, were arrested, against varied and malicious charges, where the real reason behind their kidnapping was to demand their families to pay ransoms.

The Turkish version of Abu Ghraib prison:
Following in the footsteps of Abu Ghraib prison, which became notorious for its ill-treatment in Iraq during the days of the US occupation, where the prisoner is deprived of the most basic human rights, The Turkish authorities have established a prison of the same model in the border town of Hawar Kilis. (I.H.) was taken to the this prison, and upon entering he was greeted with a blow with a sharp object in his back what caused a large wound, and vinegar and salt were poured on it.

The interrogation was taking place with the detainees late at night, after practicing the most horrific forms of physical and psychological torture with the detainee, to force him to confess what they wanted, and torture included (putting needles under nails and pulling them out, electric shocks and beatings with an iron chain) with deprivation of food and drinking during the investigation period. All this was is carried out and handled by officers from the Turkish intelligence MIT.

The young man is unable to describe the situation in the Turkish Abu Ghraib prison, after his limbs were stretched on (busat al-Rih) for a whole month, and crucifed on the door for 3 days, after which he was interrogated about the places he was preparing to detonate according to the accusations
fabricated against him by the Turkish investigators and its gunmen.
The young man (I.H) was transferred with other detainees to an unknown underground location, and after 6 months he learned that he is in one of the militia prisons in the occupied city of Al-Bab, which is supervised by the “Al-Hamzat” militia and managed by the so-called “Abu Abdo AlKadri.”

Entertainment for junkies and drug users:

The young man (I.H.) remained in Al-Bab prison for two years and two months, where he experienced alot of horrific and indescribable moments. The prison was run by a group of drug users who considered detainees as tools for entertainment and play, and inventing methods of torture that the history of prisons had not witnessed before.
Among the methods of torture and humiliation are starving detainees for a while, shaving their heads and daubing them with jam, and forcing detainees to eat from each other’s heads. On the rest of the days, eating is limited to half a loaf of moldy bread and an olive, which is a meal for a whole day.
The mercenaries prevented the detainees from showering, so the detainee only bathed once every few months, and without cleaning materials or soap, only spraying water on them. What lead to spreading infection with lice and scabies, which kept eating some detainees’ flesh until some died.

Killing the citizen Kawa Omar:
(I.H.) stated that a number of people died in detention,
including the citizen “Kawa Omar” from the village of
Dargire, who used to work as a school teacher, and the
blind citizen “Mohammed Omar” from the same village,
and they had nothing to do with any trumped-up charges
against them.

During the torture, the gunmen forced “Kawa
Omar” to drink contaminated water after being thirsty for
days of interrogation, until he had severe diarrhea accompanied by bleeding in the stomach, and upon requesting a doctor’s help, the gunmen insulted and cursed them in the worst terms, repeating the phrase “You Kurds are pigs and infidels.” A gunman hit “Kawa Omar” with a metal tube on his stomach and head, which led to his immediate death.

(I.H.) stated that due to the severity of the torture and the slow methods of death used by the militants, some detainees were forced to end their lives with their own hands and die a thousand times per day, including the citizen “Ahmed Bibaka” who committed suicide because he could not tolerate torture, and he is the husband of the female citizen (N.S.) who was arrested with him and released after two years and 7 months of detention.

After more than two and a half years of arbitrary arrest, torture and abuse, and without any trial, the young man (I.H.) was released and then managed to escape outside the occupied areas and reach safety.

Most famous kidnappings:
One of the most famous stories of kidnapping is the story of “Abu Ibrahim al-Taweel” in association with the so-called “Hamouda al-Maarawy”. “Al-Kadri” hid them in his farm and almost killed them, if it was not for the intervention of the clans. Al-Kadri sold 11 ISIS mercenaries for $60,000, and delivered them through his brother who works for Hayat Tahrir al-Sham.
The so-called “Yahya Al-Hafiz” was also kidnapped from Marea, a cousin of the so-called “Hossam Al-Hafiz”, the leader of the “Division 51” militia, and by following up the story it was found that he was kidnapped by “Al-Kadri” and hidden on his farm. And when a complaint was filed with the Military Police, they did not dare to intervene, especially since the so-called “Abu Khaled,” the head of the Military Police, is affiliated with the “Hamza” militia.
