4 children, displaced from Afrin, injured by a landmine explosion, on the International Children’s Day

4 children from one family from Afrin, who were forcibly displaced to al-Shahba, were seriously injured due to the explosion of a mine of ISIS remnants.

An Afrinpost correspondent reported that a landmine of ISIS remnants exploded in the Tal Rifaat district, wounding 4 children from Afrin, belonging to one family.

The reporter added that the mine exploded while the children were playing in the agricultural lands, and the injured children are: Diyar Mustafa Bakr (9 years old), Nabi Mustafa Bakr (13 years old), Nazmi Bakr (10 years old) and their cousin Nabi Qazqli Bakr (15 years old). The injured children were transferred to Avrin Hospital in Fafin district, Al-Shahba.

According to the testimony of the medical personnel of “Afrin Post” directly at Afrin Hospital, both children (Nabi Mustafa Bakr and Nabi Qazqali Bakr) underwent a leg amputation from below the knee, and they are under supervision and their general condition is stable. As for the two children, Nazmi and Diyar, they were limited to shrapnel wounds, while they were under surveillance, and their condition was stable.
