Two and a half years passed since a Yazidi village people were displaced and prevented from returning

Afrinpost-Special

The Turkish occupation and the Islamic militias affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood continue to prevent the residents of the Yazidi village of Bafloun from returning to it, as they prevent any Yazidi from reaching his home or property.

The correspondent of “Afrinpost” at the center of “Shara / Sharan” district, quoting a Yazidi Kurd from the village of “Bafalouneh / Bafloun” who is outside it now, and he refused to disclose his place of residence and name, that the village of Bafloun of Shara / Sharan district in Afrin countryside is still empty of its entire Yazidi population (since the beginning of the Turkish occupation), by the “Al-Shamiya Front” militia and settlers from Ghouta, Daraa and Homs.

The reporter indicated that Yazidi citizens tried to reach their homes and properties, but the checkpoints of the “Al-Shamiya” militia prevented them. The reporter also confirmed that the citizen told him that the militia prevented a number of his relatives from reaching the village and they are now in the city (Afrin center).

The reporter, quoting the citizen, confirmed that the gunmen and settlers had seized the entire property of the people in the village, and had stolen all seasons for more than two and a half years.

The village of Bafloun consists of nearly 60 houses, and it is completely occupied by settlers and militants, as the Turkish occupation pursues a double terror policy against the Yazidis, on the one hand they are Kurds and on the other hand Yazidis, while previous sources told Afrinpost that out of 25,000, approximately only a thousand Yazidis are in Afrin, and this shows the extent of the violations against them.

Within a reality different from what the Yazidi Kurds enjoyed during the era of “Autonomous Administration” formed by the people of Afrin with their various religious and sects, the Yazidi Kurds were deprived of performing their rituals and festivals and declaring their religious affiliation, as it is a sufficient reason for torture, persecution, kidnapping and torture by the Islamic militias of the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood organization.

The Yazidi Kurds are no longer able to celebrate their festivals as the Red Wednesday feast, which enjoys a special sanctity among the followers of the religion, which is summarized in considering that day, the time at which life began on the earth, according to the Yezidi beliefs.

During the “Autonomous Administration” era, official departments and schools were being suspended to celebrate the Red Wednesday feast, like all religious holidays related to the Islamic or Christian faith, in addition to organizing a central celebration, as it sought to protect the Kurdish Yazidi component and provide all the capabilities available to it in order to revive The ancient Kurdish religion among its people and preventing its extinction, following the attempt by global terrorism to eliminate it in its center in Shangal, through the ISIS attack on it in 2014.

After four years, ISIS attacks were repeated, but this time in Afrin, and with another dress called the “Syrian National Army” affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood, with the aim of eliminating religious and sectarian diversity and the tolerant model in Afrin.
