Our correspondent reports ongoing incidents of looting, robbery, and theft on one hand, and the reckless destruction and cutting of fruitful trees on the other, as the state of chaos and security breakdown persists in the occupied Afrin region.

In a recent event on April 14th, IDPs from rural Homs cut down 60 olive trees at the crossroads of Dikmedash Village in the sub-district of Sharan. These trees belonged to Kurdish widow Aisha Khawja, residing in the Mahmudiya neighborhood of Afrin city.

Additionally, yesterday on April 21st, about five armed thieves conducted a robbery targeting civilians Ahmed Habash from the village of Kurka and Mohammed Khalil from Jindires, at the crossroads of Qastal Muqdad village upon their return from the town of Bulbul towards Afrin city.

The armed men intercepted their vehicle designated for distributing food supplies in the surrounding areas, confiscating their cell phones, a portion of the merchandise, and a sum of two thousand dollars.

Moreover, at the “Aisha Gas Station” in Afrin city, located near the Aleppo road, armed members of the “Al-Mutasim Brigade” militia stole satellite dishes from the rooftops of residential buildings adjacent to the station.
