Kurdish citizen is released after five days of kidnapping

Afrinpost – Special

The militia of the “Al-Shamiya Front” affiliated with the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood released today, Tuesday, a Kurdish citizen after spending five days of kidnapping in its headquarters in the camp of Kafarjana, according to the correspondent of “Afrinpost”.

The correspondent said that the militia of the “Al-Shamiya Front” released the citizen, “Muhammad Khalil Nuri Hamo”, nicknamed “Mamo”, after forcing him to pay a financial ransom of $ 1,000.

“Mamo” was kidnapped on March 27, from his home located in the village of “Husseh / Mircan” of the “Mobata / Ma’batli” district, on charges of working for the former “Self-Administration” as a driver for a bus carrying female teachers to schools.

In turn, the Human Rights Organization in Afrin Province had said in a report that the “46-year-old Mamo, the father of three children, had been brutally beaten and tortured,” then he was tied and dragged behind a military vehicle in front of the people of his village.

Working with the “self-administration” is a ready charge that is being launched against any Kurdish indigenous people in Afrin, in order to justify their kidnapping, obtain financial ransoms from their families, or seize their homes and give them to the settlers, and push them to forcibly displace their land.
