Minor girl dies from her injuries by Turkish Shelling, northern Aleppo

The 13-year-old girl, Amira Hussein al-Khalaf, was killed today, Tuesday, after being injured by shrapnel from a missile shell that fell on August 19 near a tent where she was living on the outskirts of Granada village in al-Shahba area in the northern countryside of Aleppo.

On August 20, 2022, a source from inside the Avrin Hospital confirmed to “afrinpost“, the death of the girl at that time, to find out later that she was in a state of clinical death until her death this morning.

The girl “Amira” comes from the village of Tal Al-Daman in Jabal Al-Samaan in the western countryside of Aleppo. She fled with her family from the battles in her village and took refuge in the Al-Shahba area, and she worked with her family in tending sheep, until she was injured in the shelling of the Turkish forces. The girl was admitted to the intensive care in Avrin hospital, and despite all the doctors’ attempts to save her, she lost her life from her injuries 24 days after the injury.

On August 19, 2022, the Turkish forces, stationed at the Thulthana base, located on the outskirts of the occupied city of Marea, intensively shelled the village of Granada, which resulted in the injury of both “Khadija Shammo” (70 years old), from the village of Al-Nairabiya, and the girl “Amira Hussein Khalaf”.
