Militia leaders threaten mercenaries to cut their salaries if they do not return to Libya

The afrinpost correspondent reported that a batch of Syrian mercenaries had returned from Libya for a period of fifteen days, after which they would return to Libya, according to the terms of the contract agreed upon.

The correspondent added, quoting private sources, that al-Hamzat militia had warned the returning mercenaries, that if any of the mercenaries were not returned, he would lose his financial dues, and the reporter also learned that it was planned to return the mercenaries after the end of their vacations, provided that about forty new mercenaries would accompany them. According to information from the returning mercenaries, a state of alert is occurring in the locations from which they came.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights stated on 01/23/2021 that 10,750 mercenaries had returned to Syria, upon the expiry of their contracts and taking their financial dues, and about 10 thousand others remained, including 2,500 holders of Tunisian nationality. The total of mercenaries killed in the battles of Libya was 496 people
