Islamic militia kidnaps 20 Kurdish students from Afrin in A’zaz

Afrinpost correspondent learned that a militia called “A’zaz Security” affiliated with the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood organization kidnapped 20 male and female Kurdish students from the occupied Afrin region, upon their return from Aleppo city, after they finished sitting for secondary and preparatory exams with the Syrian regime.

The reporter added that the militia that kidnapped the students excused that it is not permissible to sit for exams with the Syrian regime, and added that the students were kidnapped in the city of A’zaz, on the way back to Afrin.

The Islamic militia had prevented other students from going to Aleppo to take the exams during the exam period, and required each of them to pay 400 dollars. The reporter mentioned that the recently kidnapped students had arrived in Aleppo through smugglers, after the militia practices and prevented them from going to Aleppo.

The reporter added that the students were kidnapped two days ago, and added: The families of some students said that they would pay a financial ransom to get their children out of the prisons of the militias.

The Turkish occupation prohibited more than 49 thousand students from Afrin from learning in their Kurdish mother tongue, in addition to depriving hundreds of students of Afrin University and its institutes from completing their educational achievement.
