afrinpost-Exclusive

Our correspondent reports that IDPs living in tents near the village of Deir Ballut in Jindires cut down nine olive trees belonging to local resident Abdu Ahmed, also known as Abu Hamid, yesterday.

Additionally, IDPs originally from the Hama countryside completely cut down 13 olive trees and partially cut down 25 more the day before yesterday. These trees were located in a field along the road to the village of Shingal in the Bulbul district, and they belong to forcibly displaced resident Mohammad Khalil Hanan, who now resides in Aleppo.

In another incident yesterday, an armed member of the Malik Shah Division extorted $1500 USD from Mohammad Rashid Rashid, a resident of Sharan town currently living in Al-Ashrafieh neighborhood of Afrin city. The militia member threatened to expose photos allegedly showing Rashid participating in a demonstration during the occupation on Afrin unless the payment was made.
