Eight Pro-Turkey Militants Killed in Response to Turkish Attacks in Afrin

In a statement released today, April 6th, the Afrin Liberation Forces (HRE) announced the killing of 8 militants of the Syrian National Armey and the injury of 7 others, along with the destruction of two vehicles and a motorcycle, in operations carried out in response to Turkish aggression on the Shahba region and northern Aleppo countryside.

Details of the operations include:

  • On March 8th, a militant was killed on the frontlines in the Sharan district of rural Afrin.
  • On March 12th, three militants were killed in a ground operation targeting Turkish-allied militia positions near the town of Mare’.
  • On March 20th, a special operation was conducted on one of the checkpoints of the SNA militia in the city of Azaz, resulting in the death of one militant and the injury of two others.
  • On March 24th, an operation was carried out in the axis of Azaz city, resulting in the killing of two militants and the injury of two others. On the same day, another special operation led to the destruction of a vehicle and a motorcycle.
  • On March 25th, a sniper was killed in a sniping operation in the axis of Azaz city.
  • On April 1st, a sniper affiliated with the Turkish-allied militias was killed in a sniping operation in the axis of Azaz city.
  • On April 2nd, a special operation was conducted in the axis of the village of Maryamin in the Sharan district, resulting in the killing of two militants, the injury of 2 others, and the destruction of a vehicle. Additionally, a militant was killed in a sniping operation in the axis of the town of Mare’ on the same day.
