Detained Citizen Released After Paying Fines in Afrin

On April 7th, Turkish authorities released citizen “Mohammed Hussein Abu Hussein” from the village of Gamrook in Sharan, after paying a fine of $700 to the Afrin Court affiliated with the so-called Local Council, along with bribes amounting to $1500.

According to our correspondent, the sixty-year-old citizen, Abu Hussein, was arrested on March 23, 2024, on charges of his membership in the commune during the previous Autonomous Administration. It is worth noting that he returned from the forced displacement area in the village of Tel Qurah in the Shahba region six months ago and operates a water tanker in the occupied city of Afrin.
