Turkish Authorities Arrest Two Kurds from Afrin in Istanbul

On April 1st, Turkish authorities in Istanbul arrested two individuals from the Kurdish community of Afrin on charges of previous association with the Autonomous Administration in Afrin.

According to our sources, Abdul Salam Mohammed (47 years old) and Rashid Omar Omar (43 years old), both residents of Jindires, were detained. It is noteworthy that they have been residing in Istanbul since 2014 and possess Turkish residence permits (Kimlik).
