According to our correspondent, the unjust cutting of fruitful trees persists, driven by Turkish-allied armed groups and IDPs militias in the occupied region of Afrin. A total of 117 olive trees, 5 walnut trees, and 7 almond trees were reportedly felled in the countryside of Afrin.
In detail, IDPs from the Mawali tribe cut down 16 olive trees and 5 large walnut trees belonging to the citizen “Mahi Al-Din Khalil” along the road to Jindires district near the village of Kani Gewrik.
In the village of Khalnereh, 12 olive trees were partially cut from their stems, owned by citizen “Emad Hassan” from the village.
Additionally, 60 olive trees, including 27 trees sawn off at the trunk, near the village of Jomkeh, owned by citizen “Ahmed Batal.”
In the village of Qastal Mqdad – Sherawa district, 29 olive trees and 7 almond trees, owned by citizen “Ahmed Omar,” were partially cut down.
