On September 12, 2021, the Turkish-backed “Al-Hamzat – Al-Hamza Division” militia kidnapped the 25-year-old Kurdish woman ‘Arin Muhammed Dali Hassan’ from the village of Kimar in Sherawa sub-district of Afrin, and took her to an unknown destination.

According to our sources, “the militia requests a financial ransom from her husband’s family in exchange for her release, knowing that ‘Arin’ is married and pregnan since five months.”

It is worth noting that the same militia, “Al-Hamzat – Abu Shaher Hamzat Group,” had kidnapped ‘Arin’ on February 27, 2020, and no information about her fate was revealed until she appeared in a leaked video on 5/28/2020, the day the militants of Jaysh al-Islam and Ahrar al-Sham militia stormed the headquarters of al-Hamzat militia in the city of Afrin (the old Asayish headquarters), when her family recognized her among the women and girls in the video.

At that time, the Turkish-backed al-Hamzat militia denied her presence when her family went to ask about her fate. However, on December 23, 2020, the pro-Turkey military police forces released the young woman ‘Arin Dali’ after 10 months of detention.
