Turkey rewards old Kurdish woman’s killer

afrinpost – Exclusive

Honoring the perpetrators and murderers is a feature of the Turkish authorities and their Muslim Brotherhood militias, as the murderer of the Kurdish elderly Aisha Osman was rewarded by giving him a free hand in the village of Burj Abdalla (Birc Ebdalo), and the killer of the Kurdish citizen Muhammad Hanif Hussein, who was lost his life under torture, was promoted and appointed as a commander of the civil police militia in Raju sub-district.

Our website learned from its sources that the Turkish authorities handed over the security file of the village of “Burj Abdalla”, south of Afrin, to “Abdo Othman,” the leader of an armed group affiliated with the “Special Forces” militia led by “Abdullah Halawa” split from “al-Hamza” militia, and attached to the “Faylaq al-Sham” militia.

This act came a year and a half after the elderly citizen, Aisha Othman, was strangled to hide the crime of stealing her money and jewelry. Back then, the so-called “Abdo Othman” disappeared to return weeks after, to continue the violations against the Kurdish people, and now the file of Birc Ebdalo village was handed over to him as a way of honoring and rewarding him.

It is noteworthy that the so-called “Abdo Othman”, who is from the city of Atarib in the countryside of Aleppo, is not the only criminal, but he has brothers famous for their criminal record, and “Muhammad Othman” nicknamed “Foxy” is accused of several crimes and thefts, and he has another brother named “Abdullah Othman” Nicknamed “Mimo” works in drug trafficking.

The so-called “Abdo Othman” is currently practicing various kinds of violations and harassment against the residents of the village. On the first of May, he launched a campaign of raids on the homes of the people and kidnapped 6 Kurds, and imposed a curfew to carry out thefts of people’s property, including electricity meters and others.

Our website managed to document the names of some citizens who were kidnapped then, namely: (Muhammad Kamal – Ahmed Sido – Sadiq Osman – Adel Hassan – Nihad Hamid Kalaho – Hazem Hamid Kalaho – Imad Hamid Kalaho), as they were kidnapped on charges of dealing with the Autonomous Administration to be released after paying a large ransom, ranged from 6 to 8 thousand dollars.

The militia released the kidnapped Kurdish citizen, Abdo Nabo, after paying $ 4,000, and the citizen Muhammad Manan for $ 5,000.

Among the horrific crimes committed by his group was the killing of an elderly Kurdish woman for stealing her money and jewelry. At dawn on 10/11/2018, the group, which was affiliated with the Turkish-backed al-Hamza militia, stormed the house of the 80-year-ola Aisha Nuri Osman, in the village of Birc Ebdalo, and they strangled her until she died suffocated, while her son Nazmi Seydo Muhammad and his wife Fatima were held and tied in another room. Meanwhile the attackers stole sums of money (about seven million Syrian pounds) and gold jewelry, from the house.

Nazmi, who was shocked by the killing of his mother, rushed to the headquarters of the militia controlling the village, led by “Mahmoud Othman”, asking to intervene, but the militia detained him until the morning without taking any action.

After the killing, he was promoted to command a civil police militia in the sub-district:

In December 2020, the Turkish authorities appointed “Ayham Al-Qabaa,” known as “Abu Shehab,” as the commander of the “Civil Police” militia, instead of “Colonel Farouk”. The so-called “Al-Qabaa”, from the city of Tall Rifat, killed the 30-year-old Kurdish young man Muhammad Hanif Hussein under torture, after kidnapping him from his home on August 30, 2019, and was then driven to the militia prison in the center of Rajo sub-district, on charges of belonging to the previous Autonomous Administration institutions, for a lifeless body to be returned to his family on 9/9/2019. The Turkish authorities arrested “Ayham Al Qabaa”, after the murder of the Kurdish youth, but they quickly released him and returned him to work in the militia ranks, and then promoted him and appointed him as a commander of the “Civil Police” in the district.

The murderer’s promotion was a catalyst for more murders. On 6/3/2021, an elderly Kurdish citizen, Sheikmus Mustafa Qasim (73 years), from the town of Meydan Akbes – Rajo district, was martyred under torture on the fourth day of his kidnapping and detention in the civil police prison led by “Al-Qabaa”.

To cover up her crime, the Turkish-backed militias (Faylaq al-Sham and the Military Police) buried the body of the martyr Sheikhmus Mustafa, in the cemetery of the border town of Meydan Akbas, without allowing his family and townspeople to bid farewell to his body, wash it, or bury it according to the traditions followed in the region.
