Two civilians arrested in al-Hal market in Afrin, as another released after paying a ransom

Jabhat al-Shamiya militia kidnapped two people on Thursday, in the center of occupied Afrin-northern Syria, on charges of communicating with the Syrian Democratic Forces, according to afrinpost‘s correspondent.

The correspondent stated that the so-called “Amniyat Dawar Kawa” had kidnapped two IDPs from Idlib from their workplace in al-Hal market in the city center, on charges of providing the Syrian Democratic Forces with military information, while the identity of the tow kidnapped was not known yet.

In the same context, the Turkish occupation authorities released on the same day the Kurdish citizen “Riyad Abu Kaoud” after being kidnapped for more than two months.

“The release came after he was forced to pay a ransom of 2200 Turkish lira, in addition to 700 US dollar that was paid in the form of bribes to militia members in the occupation court in Afrin.” The reporter added.
