Kurdish elderly man paid 1000 dollars to the Muslim Brotherhood militia … in exchange for giving him the opportunity to “die in his village” in Afrin

Afrinpost – Special

The people of Afrin, who were displaced from the land of their fathers and grandfathers, often spread eulogies not devoid of grief, because those who die will be buried in the forced exiles imposed by the Turkish occupation on more than 350 thousand inhabitants of the occupied Kurdish region, while they consider that dying and being buried in the soil of Afrin is fortunate, although the deceased remained on their land and endured various kinds of pain and faced various forms of dangers, and regardless of the place of death, whether outside or inside occupied Afrin, feelings of anguish and sadness overwhelm those absent from the funeral and condolence ceremonies.

However, the story of the elderly Muhammad Ali Khalil is different:

The sixty-year-old Muhammad Ali Khalil forcibly left his village of Kela, which is affiliated with Bulbul / Bulbul sub-district, during the Turkish aggression on Afrin, and went to Shahba areas, and from there he moved to the city of Aleppo, but his health deteriorated, which made him feel that he was about to die, so he asked his family to return him to his village, regardless of the cost, to die on the land of fathers and grandfathers, and upon his desire, his family decided to send him through the smuggling route, because the Turkish occupation authorities and affiliated militias prevent the return of the forcibly displaced to the occupied territory.

In the context of the smuggling deal, the family of the elderly Muhammad Ali Khalil paid a sum of one thousand US dollars to the Turkish occupation militia militants in exchange for letting him pass from the city of Aleppo to the occupied city of Azaz.

The elderly Muhammad Khalil arrived on November 6 to his village Kela tired and exhausted after a very exhausting journey in which his weak body, endured the pain of the journey and buried in his heart big dear wishes that were not fulfilled, and he stayed for a night in his village, but it was the last.

The elderly Muhammad Ali Khalil passed away from the world, and his last desires of dying on the soil of Afrin and to be buried there were fulfilled.
