Afrinpost – Special
With the approaching harvest season of the olive season, the Muslim Brotherhood militias that occupy Afrin villages began to mobilize, to devise ways to steal the season. In the village of Maamla / Maaml Ushaghi in Rajo district, the armed men of the Sultan Mohammad Al Fateh Brigade militia are preparing to plunder the olive season in the village.
As the “Afrinpost” correspondent at the Rajo district center reported that the (Muhammad Al-Fateh) militia is about to collect at least one hundred thousand dollars from the village, equivalent to at least 220 million Syrian pounds. The reporter adds, according to the leader: “If we did not get this amount then we will lose, and we were supposed to collect one hundred and fifty dollars. ”
The reporter indicated that the so-called Fadel Horo, head of the Rajo town council, was informed of this matter, and commented only that it is not permissible, so the people told him: Let’s see what you can do.
It has become known that all seasons in Afrin are subject to theft, starting with olives, grapes leaves, sumac and all fruit trees. Trees are also cut down and firewood is sold.
In the current season, the issue of estimating the size of the season’s looting will be extremely difficult, given the decline in production in general, the high costs of service and harvesting due to the displacement of the people and the lack of local labor, and the high costs of transportation and freight due to the high prices of fuel, in addition to the thieves of settlers and armed Brotherhood militias, those who invaded the fields and stole large quantities of olives, besides imposing the siege on Afrin, preventing the export of production, fixing prices and even the merchants to whom the production must be marketed by the Turkish occupation and its agents.
