Royalty of US$ 8,000 was paid to the “Suleiman Shah” militia by a Kurdish citizen to allow him recovering his home

Islamic militias affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood, who are known as the “Syrian National Army / Free Army”, and under the direct supervision of the Turkish occupation intelligence, continue to impoverish the remaining indigenous Kurdish people in the occupied Afrin region, by imposing royalties and practices that lead to displace them in favor of the settlers loyal to them.

In this context, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said yesterday, Sunday, that the militia, “Sultan Suleiman Shah / Amshahat” imposed on an indigenous Kurdish citizen in the village of Qarmitlaq, affiliated to the “Shieh / Sheikh Al-Hadid” district, US$ 8000 in exchange for recovering his home, which was seized by the militia in early April.

The observatory indicated that the Islamic militias imposed on the Kurdish citizen, since the middle of last year, 8000 dollars in exchange for handing him over the house, which forced him to stay in the village houses, moving between his friends and relatives, without allowing him to recover his home before paying the amount.

The incident is only a continuation of the ongoing robberies and seizures since the occupation of Afrin, where Islamic militias in most villages prevented many citizens from returning to their homes and properties after seizing them, on the pretext that they had become military headquarters for Islamic militias, or that settlers had settled there!
