Royalties on the village of “Haj Qasim” .. and preventing the Kurds from taking care of the property of their displaced relatives in the village of “Deir Swan”

Islamic militias affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood, who are known as the “Syrian National Army / Free Army”, and under the direct supervision of the Turkish occupation intelligence, continue to impoverish the remaining indigenous Kurdish population in the occupied Afrin region, by imposing royalties and practices that lead t displace them in favor of the settlers loyal to them.

In this context, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said yesterday, Sunday, that the “Samarkand Brigade” militia, which is occupying the Hajj Qasim village of the Mobata / Ma’batli district, is blackmailing the indigenous Kurdish people through the village’s mokhtar, by inviting them to a meeting in the center of the village and asking them to pay royalties in the name of “protecting their properties”.

The observatory also referred to the armed militia of the “Sultan Murad Brigade” militia and the militia of the “Martyrs of Al-Sfireh” militia, by imposing a decision to prevent the people of the village of “Deir Swan”, which is affiliated with the “Shara / Sharan” district, from ploughing lands and olive fields belonging to their forcibly displaced relatives from the village.

The Observatory continued: “The armed men under the name of the Sultan Suleiman Shah, the Amashat faction controlling Sheikh Hadid in the countryside of Afrin, arrested a folk singer from the village of Qarmitlaq, and then released him after he paid money.”

The incidents are only a continuation of the imposition of royalties, robbery, and seizures since the occupation of Afrin, in addition to preventing Islamic militias in most villages, the return of many Kurdish indigenous people to their homes and properties after seizing them, on the pretext that they have become military headquarters for Islamic militias, or that settlers with The gunmen have settled in!
