Thousands of Kurdish residents of Afrin, protested on Sunday, who were displaced in Al-Shahba, due to the Turkish attack on Afrin province, rejecting the occupation of the Turkish occupation army and the Islamic militias affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood in northern Syria and Afrin.

Thousands of displaced people from Afrin, who currently reside temporarily in Tal Rifaat, belonging to the Shahba, gathered in a demonstration in which they rejected the threats of the Turkish occupation to invade the places they were displaced to.

Media sources said that the demonstration started from the Bazaar Square passing through the sub-streets of Tel Rifaat, during which the demonstrators chanted slogans calling for the “liberation of Afrin” amid the ululations and the applause of mothers with revolutionary songs.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that if the families of Tal Rifaat who are in Afrin want to return to their homes, they should leave our lands and return home.

The Afrini displaced people demand the exit of the Turkish occupation and its militias from their land, and last Wednesday, political parties in the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood of Aleppo, launched a campaign to collect signatures, demanding the return of the people of Afrin forcibly displaced due to Turkish occupation attacks to their homes, and to send them to the Russian consulate.

The campaign aims to show the rejection of violations by the Turkish occupation against the Kurdish indigenous people in Afrin, as well as to convey the voice of the people of Afrin to international forums, the United Nations and human rights organizations about the violations by Turkey and its militias in the Kurdish occupied territory of Afrin.
