According to our reporter, Turkish forces, stationed in the villages of Kafr Janna and Maryameen in the sub-district of Shara, rural Afrin, intensified their shelling on April 29. The bombardment targeted the vicinity of Deir Jamal village, Al-Ahmar station, Al-Ziyara junction, Soghonakah, Abbin, Aqibah in Shara sub-district, Mar’anaz village in Sherawa sub-district, rural Afrin, and the vicinity of Kafr Naya village in the Shahba region in northern rural Aleppo.
The reporter said that the intense artillery shelling caused panic and fear among the residents of the targeted villages, with no information yet available regarding the extent of the damage. In response, the Afrin Liberation Forces retaliated by shelling the Turkish base in Kafr Maz village, Shara sub-district, amid reports of injuries among Turkish soldiers.
