On March 26, Turkish intelligence forces arrested Mustafa Ibrahim Ali, a resident of Mobata town, from the home of one of his relatives near Osama Mosque in Al-Mahmudiya neighborhood of the occupied city of Afrin.

Mustafa, aged 44, returned from forced displacement in Aleppo on March 25 and stayed with citizen Jwan Abdul Rahman Ali. However, a Turkish intelligence patrol raided Jwan’s house, arresting him along with his guest Mustafa. Subsequently, Jwan was released after a few hours, while Mustafa remains arbitrarily detained.

Furthermore, recent information obtained by afrinpost reveals the release of another civilian, Mohammed Fareed, over a month ago. Mohammed, aged 41 and hailing from the village of Jwaiq, was detained by the Military Police militia on February 7, 2024. He was accused of orchestrating the bombing of the Newroz roundabout. Despite Mohammed’s alibi of passing near the roundabout only after the explosion occurred, he was detained and interrogated by the militia. Mohammed was eventually released upon payment of a fine totaling one thousand dollars, along with additional bribes amounting to five thousand dollars.
