Turkish-backed militants cut down 250 olive trees from the fields of the Kurdish people of Afrin, in order to sell the firewood in the markets of the city of Idlib.

Our reporter in Afrin city stated that gunmen belonging to the Turkish-backed “Sultan Murad” militia, cut down yesterday, December 27, 90 olive trees right after the Cuqe/Juwaiq village junction towards the Afrin, and then transported the firewood to Idlib markets.

The reporter said that the gunmen uprooted some of the trees while cut branches from others, without the owner of the land, the Kurdish citizen “Subhi Rasho,” who is from the village of Gamruk, being able to prevent them despite his residence in the occupied city of Afrin.

In the same context, the so-called “Mustafa al-Hassan,” a member of the “Samarqand” militia, started cutting down olive trees about a week ago from fields owned by the citizens “Ahmed Rashid and Rashid Hesso” from the village of Kafr Safra, as he sends them to one of his relatives called “Ahmed al-Salloum.” a member of the “Faylaq Al-Sham” militia, to sell the firewood in the city of Idlib.

During this ongoing trade between the two elements, the number of trees cut down reached 160 olive trees from the fields of the above-mentioned persons, located on the road to the martyr Sido cemetery.
