Militants of the pro-Turkey “Faylaq Al-Sham” militia severely assaulted a Kurdish citizen in the village of Zerka in Rajo sub-district, while he was guarding his olive field in light of the widespread theft operations in the region.

According to our sources, “while the citizen ‘Horik Daoud, 68 years old, was guarding his olive field located at the foot of Mount ‘Bilel’, armed men from “Faylaq Al-Sham” militia, which controls the village of Jaqmaqa / Al-Sawwan Al-Kabeer, intercepted him, violently assaulted him and stole his mobile phone and a ‘licensed’ hunting rifle, as well as money.”

The sources added that the farmers in the region are forced in the recent years to guard their olive crops after the outbreak of the phenomenon of theft of the olive season by the Turkish-backed militants and IDPs ‘brought in by Turkey’, who keep stealing and looting at the beginning of every agricultural season in the occupied Kurdish region.
