The Afrinpost correspondent reported that the militants of “al-Jabha al-Shamiya” militia imposed a siege on the village of Gunde Hise / Merkan, and then began to raid homes and kidnap a number of citizens, and he was not able to know the number of the kidnapped, saying, “They arrest the citizens and put them cars.”
The reporter added that military vehicles and others loaded with Dushka weapons arrived at the village, along with a large number of armed men, some of them masked. There is a state of anticipation and anxiety in the village, while the sounds of gunfire are heard to intimidate the citizens and prevent them from leaving their homes, amid a media blackout, and it is not possible to know what is happening on the ground, and there is fear of major violations in the village.
On the other hand, the village of Gunde Hise / Merkan has been undergoing difficult conditions since mid-November, due to the high number of cases of Coronavirus, which led to several deaths, which necessitated the imposition of a complete quarantine on it, and there are a number of infected who have not recovered to date.
