Turkish forces targeted the village of Granada in the Shahba area of northern Aleppo countryside with over 18 artillery shells on Thursday evening, November 28. According to our correspondent, the bombardment injured Dalil Fawzi Ibo, a displaced resident from Afrin, who sustained varying degrees of injuries and was transferred to local hospitals for treatment.
Meanwhile, Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) achieved significant territorial gains in western Aleppo over the past two days following fierce battles with Syrian regime forces. The areas captured include strategic locations such as Regiment 46, Sheikh Ali, Sheikh Aqil, Qabtan al-Jabal, and more than 30 other towns and villages. Key locations include Urm al-Kubra, Urm al-Sughra, Khan al-Asal, and Zarbeh, along with other notable sites such as Khan Touman silos and surrounding villages.
In Atarib, the death toll rose to 15 civilians, including women and children, due to Russian airstrikes targeting various sites within the city. The airstrikes occurred amidst escalating clashes between HTS and Syrian forces.
The ongoing violence has resulted in significant losses among the warring factions: HTS: 125 fatalities, Syrian National Army (SNA) Militias: 25 fatalities, and Syrian Regime Forces: 77 fatalities, including a senior Iranian advisor.
The situation in northern and western Aleppo remains volatile, with civilians continuing to bear the brunt of the hostilities.
