Our correspondent reported that yesterday, a checkpoint of the “Al-Jabha Al-Shamiya” militia near the village of Qastal Jindo, in Sharan sub-district – Afrin and north of Azaz, arrested 46-year-old Mohammed Sobhi Haji, a resident of Jindires. His vehicle, which carried car spare parts, was also confiscated. No reasons were given for his arrest.
In another incident, the correspondent added that the “Military Police” militia released Mohammed Fadel Hussein, a member of the Arab community in Afrin, on the evening of the day before yesterday. Hussein had been detained for two weeks on charges of working in Al-Ashrafieh neighborhood commune during the former Autonomous Administration. His release was secured after paying a $400 fine and additional legal fees and bribes amounting to approximately $1,500.
