Our correspondent reported for our website that IDPs originating from Douma in the Damascus countryside have requested assistance from the Qatar Red Crescent to construct a new settlement village at the base of Lelun mount, near the village of Kurzehel in the Sherawa sub-district.
The correspondent added that the IDPs have already identified the location for the proposed village and are awaiting approval from the Qatari organization. This request follows the example of IDPs from Harasta in the Damascus countryside, for whom the Qatar Red Crescent constructed a village in Jindires both before and after the earthquake on February 6, 2023.
