Our correspondent reports that Turkish forces targeted the village of Marnaaz in the Sharan sub-district of rural Afrin with heavy artillery early Saturday morning. The village is currently under the control of the Syrian army. The artillery fire originated from the Turkish base in the village of Maryamin in the Sharan sub-district of occupied Afrin. As of now, there is no information available regarding the extent of the damage caused by the shelling.
In a related development, Syrian regime forces bombarded positions held by the Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham organization with high-explosive missiles and tank shells along the axes of al-Matarudah, al-Qasr, Kafr Amma, al-Atarib, and Kafr Nuran in western Aleppo countryside. These attacks were launched from their positions in the 46th Regiment in western Aleppo countryside.
