For the past ten days, the armed checkpoint “Trendeh checkpoint” situated south of Afrin city, has held Kurdish citizen Sobhi Jamil Hamo and his wife Farida, aged 36, from the village of Basufan in Sherawa sub-district.
According to our reporter, the couple stand accused of engaging with the previous Autonomous Administration. Following their arrest, they were transferred to the “Political Police” department in central Afrin, directly managed by Turkish intelligence.
Furthermore, Turkish authorities detained Ahmed Nasan, aged 28, four days ago, citing his failure to possess a personal ID issued by the local council. It’s worth noting that Nasan was recently forcibly deported from Turkey.
