Our sources in Afrin indicate ongoing illegal sales of homes belonging to Kurdish residents of Afrin, seized by Turkish-allied armed groups. Recently, seven homes were sold at significantly reduced prices, primarily in the Al-Ashrafiyeh neighborhood of occupied Afrin.

According to details, armed members of the “Rijal Al-Harb” militia sold three apartments, each owned by residents Adel Sheikho, Mohamed Manan, and Hannan Hassan from Jindires. These apartments are part of a residential building near Al-Ashrafiyeh Park, known as the Mohammed Aranda Building. Each apartment was sold for $1,300 to IDPs originating from Eastern Ghouta in Damascus.

Additionally, a militant associated with the “Ahrar al-Sharqiya” militia sold two houses to IDPs from the Qalamoun region in the Damascus countryside, for $800 each. These homes belong to Ibrahim Hassan and Hannan Abu Ibrahim, both Yezidi community members, also located in the Al-Ashrafiyeh neighborhood.

Another former member of the “Al-Jabha Al-Shamiya” militia sold the house of citizen Rudin Najjar in Al-Ashrafiyeh to an IDP from the Homs countryside for $700.

Furthermore, on April 16th, an IDP from Bait Al-Safan in Deir ez-Zor sold the house of Mohamed Jalal, from the village of Korkan in Mobata, for $900, along with all household furniture for $600 and the water pump for $200.
