Pro-Turkey Militia Kidnap Three Aleppo Residents in Afrin

Private sources told “afrinpost” that the “Sultan Murad” militia abducted three individuals from Aleppo City on the third day of Eid al-Fitr, April 12th, near the village of Deir Siwan in the Sharan district of occupied Afrin. The victims were attempting to reach the Turkish-Syrian border when they were kidnapped. The militia extorted them and released them after two days in exchange for a ransom of $20,000.

According to a confidential source, the “Murad” militia abducted Ahmed Hayek (41 years old), Mahmoud Omar Daaboul, and Ziyad Sayed Ahmed (36 years old). They were extorted financially before being released on April 14th for $20,000. Subsequently, they were smuggled into Turkish territory for $3,500 each.

afrinpost” has documented ten cases of arrest and abduction since the beginning of April 2024, up to the fifteenth of the month, including two cases on Turkish soil and two arrests of IDPs. Additionally, 27 cases of release have been documented.
