Turkish authorities have arrested four Kurdish citizens in separate incidents on charges of previous affiliation with the Autonomous Administration, according to the weekly documentation report of the Kurdish Democratic Union Party dated March 9, 2024.
On March 2, 2024, Turkish intelligence and the military police militia in Rajo arrested Kurdish citizen “Dogan Abdo Bakr” (65 years old) from the village of Gulya Fawqani. This brings the total number of arrested citizens from the villages of Gulyan Tahtani and Fowqani since the Turkish intelligence and military police and civilian militias began their campaign of arrests at the end of December 2023 to 15 citizens, including 4 women, on charges of dealing with the previous Autonomous Aministration.
The report also documented the arrest of citizen “Aisha Dello,” the wife of citizen “Jamal Qadir Bilal” from the village of Bibaka – Bulbul district, in mid-February 2024. She was released after ten days of detention and fined.
Turkish intelligence and the military police militia arrested Kurdish citizen “Omar Hussein Omar” (32 years old) from the village of Korzileh – Bulbul district, in late February of the previous year, after returning from forced displacement in Aleppo to his village. He remains arbitrarily detained.
