Our sources have reported today, March 5th, that Turkish forces have detained elderly resident “Fathi Abdul Hanan Mohammed,” his son, and his son’s wife from the village of Amara, in the Mobata district, upon their return from forced displacement in Aleppo to the occupied Afrin region.

The military police militia in Mobata detained 70-year-old “Fathi” from his home in Amara village on February 1, 2024, on charges of past dealings with the Autonomous Administration. He remains under arrest in Marateh Central Prison in Afrin city, having returned to his village from forced displacement in Aleppo prior to his arrest.

Furthermore, his son, “Sherzad Fathi Mohammed” (45 years old), and his wife, “Rozalin Kamal Murad” (35 years old), were arrested by the military police militia in the city of Azaz two days earlier, on January 30, 2024, upon their return from displacement in Aleppo towards Afrin.
