Turkish forces unleashed heavy artillery bombardment on the surroundings of Harbel and Sheikh Issa villages in the Shahba region, located in the northern Aleppo countryside and between Bênê\ Abbin in the Sherawa district of the occupied Afrin on the evening of Sunday, February 4, 2024. The damage, as of now, has been limited to material losses.
In a related development, a member of the Syrian National Army militias affiliated with Ankara was injured due to the explosion of a landmine on the contact lines between them and the Syrian regime forces on Al-Bab axis, east of Aleppo. The Syrian regime forces managed to apprehend the militia member, who was found in possession of weapons and ammunition.
Conversely, the Syrian regime army responded with heavy artillery and rocket launchers, targeting positions of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham on the Basartoun, Hafees, Kafr Taal, Kafr Amma axis in the western Aleppo countryside. Additionally, they shelled areas in Jabal al-Zawiya, south of Idlib, including the villages of Al-Ankawi and Al-Qahira in the Ghab Plain, west of Hama.
