The Turkish forces and its affiliated militias manipulate their control and security strength to extort innocent civilians and extract money from them using frivolous excuses in the occupied areas of northern Aleppo countryside.

In this context, the military police militia arrested a woman and her daughter who were attempting to enter Turkish territory about a week ago in the occupied Afrin countryside.

According to our correspondent, a checkpoint in Kafr Jannah on the road between Azaz and Afrin detained a woman named “Nadia” and her nine-year-old daughter “Shaza” from the city of Douma in the Damascus countryside, accusing them of “loyalty” to the Syrian regime.

The correspondent added that the woman came with her daughter from Damascus, trying to reach the Syrian-Turkish border and cross into Turkey to join her husband. However, the military police militia arrested them and began to extort their relatives, demanding a sum of ten thousand dollars in exchange for their release.

Earlier, a young man was killed, and 13 others were abducted when they were with a smuggler trying to enter Turkish territory through smuggling routes. Elements of the “Suqour al-Shamal” militia intercepted them and opened fire on January 25. The militia demanded a financial ransom of $1,500 for the release of each of them.
