Six Syrians Forcibaly Deported From Turkey, Held Ransom by Al-Jabha Al-Shamiya Militia

According to our correspondent, on January 19th, a patrol belonging to the “Al-Jabha Al-Shamiya” militia kidnapped six individuals who were deported by Turkish authorities through the Bab al-Salameh border crossing between Syria and Turkey in the occupied Azaz countryside.

Our correspondent clarified that four of the abductees are from Aleppo, including individuals identified as “Fawzi Abu Hadi” and “Khaled Muhammad Ibrahim,” the fifth is from Homs, and the sixth is from Manbij in the Aleppo countryside.

Following their abduction, the “Al-Jabha Al-Shamiya” militia demanded a financial ransom of 1200 Turkish liras for the release of each of the captives.

It is noteworthy that the “Al-Jabha Al-Shamiya” militia engages in human trafficking by kidnapping individuals deported by Turkish authorities to the occupied city of Azaz through the Bab al-Salameh crossing, demanding financial ransoms for their release.

On January 7, 2024, three young men were kidnapped near the Bab al-Salameh border crossing after being deported by Turkish authorities. They were transported to a prison in the village of Sajo in the Azaz countryside, with their families being asked to pay a financial ransom of 2000 Turkish liras for their release.
