On the evening of October 11, Turkish forces stationed in Hazwan in the countryside of Al-Bab and two-thirds of the countryside of Mare’ and Mariamin in the sub-district of Sharan in occupied Afrin shelled more than 15 villages and towns in the northern countryside of Aleppo.
The artillery bombardment targeted areas including Tel Rifaat, Al-Biloniyah, Sheikh Issa, Tel Jijan, Harbul, Ta’ana, Samaqa, Sad Al-Shahba, and Ming in the Shahba region. In addition, Soghonakeh, Abbin, Aqibah, and Qallutah in the Sharran sub-district of occupied Afrin were also subjected to shelling. As of now, there is no information available regarding the extent of the damage caused.
The Turkish artillery bombardment coincided with the Turkish drones flying in the region.
In response to the attacks, the Afrin Liberation Forces targeted the Turkish base in the village of Dabiq in the Akhtarin region, located in the northern countryside of Aleppo.
