On October 25, Turkish authorities released citizen “Sulaiman Ismail,” a 27-year-old resident of the village of Baflour in the Jindires sub-district, in the occupied city of Afrin. Sulaiman Ismail had been detained by Turkish intelligence on October 23 following his demands to reclaim his father’s confiscated properties in occupied Afrin.
He was arrested alongside another citizen, “Idris,” from the village of Chaqmaqa – Rajo, in their residence near the Sheikh Shawakh Mosque in the old quarter of Afrin. While Idris was released after several hours, Sulaiman remained in custody until October 25, when he was released after a payment of $10,000.
