Russian Airstrikes Claim Dozens of Lives among National Army Militias near Manbij

afrinpost – Exclusive

Dozens of members of the National Army militias were killed and injured in the airstrikes conducted by Russian warplanes on the fronts of the northern countryside of Manbij. Approximately 30 bodies and 17 wounded individuals were transported to the hospitals in the occupied city of Jarabulus, according to exclusive sources.

Russian warplanes carried out several air raids on the gatherings of the National Army militias on the evening of August 2nd, targeting the Arab Hasan and Al-Muhsinli axis in the eastern Aleppo countryside near Manbij. The military forces of the Manbij Military Council managed to repel the attack and inflict human casualties among the attackers.

Our correspondent noted that the Russian aircraft deceived the armed members of the Syrian National Army militias by appearing to cease their airstrikes and merely circling the region’s airspace. However, when approximately 50 armed individuals gathered to launch an attack on the villages of Arab Hasan and Al-Muhsinli in the Manbij countryside, the warplanes began to bombard them, resulting in all of them being either killed or wounded.

Furthermore, the Manbij Military Council’s forces successfully repelled an attack by armed members of the National Army militias and targeted their positions with rocket launchers on the morning of the previous day. This occurred after the militias attempted to infiltrate in the areas of Al-Urayma, Al-Yalani, and Al-Ajami in the eastern countryside of Aleppo province
