Local sources from Afrin reported on August 7 that Turkish intelligence forces arrested a citizen named “Ramadan Ali” in al-Ashrafieh neighborhood of the occupied city of Afrin, without clear reasons provided.

Ramadan Ali, aged 47, hails from the town of Al-Safira and works as a shepherd. He has been residing near Bilal Mosque in al-Ashrafieh neighborhood of Afrin since 2013.

According to accounts from local residents, Ramadan’s arrest is believed to be linked to his representation of his Kurdish neighbor in property management matters. The neighbor, originally from Naza village in the Shara district, was forcibly displaced to Aleppo city.
