Yesterday, on July 31, the Turkish-affiliated “Military Police” militia, arrested two Kurdish civilians and five Arab youths on the Sarfis Road in al-Ashrafieh neighborhood, occupied Afrin.
According to our correspondent, a patrol of the Military Police conducted identity checks on residents along the Sarfis Road and detained two Kurdish youths; “Kamal Muhyiddin,” 22 years old, from the village of Chulaqa, residing near the water tank in al-Ashrafieh neighborhood, and “Omar Ali,” 25 years old, from the village of Maratah. Additionally, they arrested five Arab youths.
It’s worth noting that Turkish authorities frequently inspect the identities of Kurdish residents at checkpoints in occupied Afrin.
Earlier, on July 28, the Military Police had arrested the citizen “Subhi Al-Hussein” on charges of collaboration with the Syrian regime, following demands to vacate his house in al-Ashrafieh neighborhood, occupied Afrin.
