In another incident in Afrin’s vicinity, a fire broke out on August 11th in the forest between the villages of Abbin and Aqiba in the Shera sub-district. Meanwhile, the Syrian regime’s army heavily shelled the surroundings of villages and towns such as Maarat al-Nu’man, Binnin, and Al-Bara in the southern Idlib countryside. Russian reconnaissance planes were reported to be intensively flying over the area.
Additionally, the Syrian regime’s army carried out intense and fierce artillery shelling on the surroundings of the village of Kafrnuran in western Aleppo countryside and the axes of Sahl al-Ghab in northern Hama countryside. This occurred amidst a high frequency of reconnaissance flights in the area.
In the northern Latakia countryside, two members of the Syrian regime’s army were killed, and others sustained serious injuries due to an attack carried out by the Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham organization on their positions in the Ein al-Bayda area. Among the deceased was an individual known as “Abu ‘Ahd Yahya Mursal.”
In response, the Syrian regime’s army retaliated by shelling the positions of the Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham organization on the same axis using rocket launchers and heavy artillery.
