The Turkish forces carried out yesterday, May 10th, artillery shelling on the outskirts of the villages of Biloniya in northern Aleppo countryside, as well as Shawragha, Kasht’ar, Shara, Abbin, Tenneb, and Aqiba in the Sharan sub-district of occupied Afrin. The area was subjected to continuous surveillance by Turkish reconnaissance aircraft.
In response, Afrin Liberation Forces retaliated by targeting Turkish army positions near the village of Meryamin in the Sharan sub-district of occupied Afrin. The extent of the casualties is currently unknown.
The shelling comes hours after a Turkish military drone targeted a vehicle near the village of Al-Ahadath in the Shahba region of northern Aleppo countryside. The attack resulted in the death of three People’s Protection Units (YPG) fighters and left two others critically injured.
The People’s Protection Units (YPG) announced that they will release a statement with the names of the killed and injured fighters at a later time.
