Citizen Robbed at Gunpoint in Afrin as Security Concerns Persist

afrinpost– Exclusive

In a disturbing incident that highlights the ongoing security challenges in Afrin, citizen Abdulrahman Rashid, a resident of Badina village in Rajo sub-district, fell victim to a brazen robbery early this morning, as two SNA militants on a motorcycle targeted him near the Industrial School in the occupied city of Afrin.

The armed men, brandishing their weapons, forcibly took away his mobile phone and a sum of 200 Turkish liras as he was en route to his workplace at a block factory on the Aleppo road. The robbery underscores the growing concerns about personal safety and lawlessness prevalent in the area.

This incident follows another recent theft that occurred on May 25, when Khalil Abdou, a resident of Şêtana/Rahmaniya village, had his motorcycle stolen. The incident took place near the Mazout Highway in Afrin city, close to the Maratah road.
