Our reporter in Afrin region said that IDPs and armed groups residing in the homes they seized in the occupied city of Afrin are dividing them and living in one section while selling off the other sections, in addition to steal and loot the properties of the original inhabitants.
In detail, an IDP called “Abu Al-Azz Al-Doumani” divided the house of citizen “Mohammed Sheikh Mohammed” from Qujuma – Jindires district, located in al-Ashrafieh neighborhood near the new slaughterhouse, and sold one of the sections to his relatives for $600.
Also, an IDP from the countryside of Damascus, originating from Zemalka, sold a section of the house of citizen “Ramzi Mohammed” from the village of Korkan – Mobata district, to another IDP from Qalamoun for $1200.
Another IDP from the village of Al-Nairab in the countryside of Aleppo divided a house near the water reservoir into four sections, with each section consisting of a room and facilities, and sold each section for $600, knowing that the house belongs to the Kurdish citizen “Ahmed Khalil Abu Mazloum” from the village of Ba’dina – Rajo district.
Meanwhile, an IDP residing in one of the camps on the outskirts of al-Ashrafieh neighborhood stole an electric generator from in front of the house of citizen “Nashat Mohammed” from the village of Khalil, located next to the arch checkpoint.
Thieves also stole 12 solar panels, an inverter, and four batteries from the workshop of citizen “Nidal Ahmed” from the village of Qibareh – Afrin center district, located in al-Ashrafieh neighborhood near the Maysalon school, taking advantage of the suspension of work in the workshop due to the earthquake and its aftermath.
